California Pandemic EBT Outreach Toolkit
This Pandemic EBT Outreach Toolkit is intended to bring awareness about P-EBT during Phase 3 of outreach – from July 1 through July 15.
The goals of P-EBT outreach are to:
- Emphasize the need to apply by the NEW application deadline of July 15 and connect families through targeted outreach.
- Build public awareness and support among school nutrition directors about what P-EBT is, how families with certified students can get P-EBT benefits, and how benefits can be used to purchase food IN ADDITION to continued grab-and-go meal service at many school sites.
- Connect families who have not yet applied to the P-EBT online application.
The Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) program was created as a federal benefit that helps families afford food during this coronavirus emergency. It provides an Electronic Benefits Transfer card that can be used at grocery stores, farmer’s markets, and online grocery orders at Walmart.com or Amazon.com (delivery fees may apply).
