This enhancement is bolstered by the support of Summer EBT funding, which further commits to nourishing California&#8217;s youth. This crucial program is anticipated to serve over 845 million meals in the 2024-25 school year, ensuring that no child in California\u2019s schools goes hungry. The inclusion of Summer EBT funds exemplifies the state&#8217;s dedication to extending nutritional support beyond the school year, promoting food security for students throughout the summer months.<\/p><p><em>\u201cWe are grateful for the Governor&#8217;s commitment to sustaining and enhancing the universal school meals program\u201d,<\/em> said Kathy Saile, No Kid Hungry California Director. <em>\u201cThis increase in funding is a monumental step in our ongoing fight against child hunger.
