We have a strong preference for those with direct experience supporting or implementing the program on the ground, whether at a sponsoring organization, school district or school nutrition department, afterschool enrichment program, school, or community-based organization.<\/p><p>We are also looking for people who are comfortable:<\/p><ul><li>Speaking about their experience with afterschool meals, such as starting their program, overcoming challenges, developing partnerships, conducting promotion and outreach, or working collaboratively with children and families.<\/li><li>Promoting the benefits of offering afterschool meals<\/li><li>Providing assistance to their peers who are interested in beginning or expanding afterschool meals<\/li><\/ul><p>Champions will be asked help with activities and initiatives, such as:<\/p><ul><li>Sharing their story and experience for case studies or other resources<\/li><li>Helping to develop and review resources about afterschool meals<\/li><li>Providing technical assistance to other individuals &amp; organizations<\/li><li>Speaking on webinars<\/li><li>Speaking at events and conferences<\/li><\/ul><p>Commitments will be limited to five hours per month and up to two trips. Commitments will last through June 2020. Each champion will receive a stipend of $2,500, and a $1,000 donation will be made to their organization in honor of their work.
