After hearing from nearly 200 food banks, school districts, local governments and private companies, No Kid Hungry released the Hunger Innovation Report<\/a>, which highlights programs that are successfully utilizing human-centered design, current technology and effective models from other sectors to make No Kid Hungry a reality.<\/p>\n

One of the innovators in the report is Dave Green, CEO of Feeding Children Everywhere based in Longwood, Florida. Dave’s idea was to develop a meal kit delivery service accessed through a mobile app. Individuals or families pay a small shipping fee to receive meal kits and groceries, including fresh produce in three business days. There are no income limits or burdensome applications to fill out. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

It\u2019s a different approach for the nonprofit world, says Dave Green, who adds that charging a customer or client a little bit of money to get a massive amount of value could actually be a type of social innovation that helps solve housing and other systemic challenges.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
