No Kid Hungry Florida was in Tallahassee last week as a proud partner of Florida Children\u2019s Week<\/a>. The annual celebration, now in its 25th<\/sup> year, brings together hundreds of Floridians \u2013 legislators, educators, child advocates, state agency leaders and kids of all ages \u2013 to draw attention to the issues that impact our children through a week of fun activities and events.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

One of those issues, of course, is childhood hunger. In fact, one in five kids in Florida lives in a family that struggles with hunger. No Kid Hungry Florida and its partners focus on school breakfast as a critical way to end childhood hunger across the state. To help raise awareness about the importance of a healthy breakfast, No Kid Hungry Florida teamed up with Farm Share to highlight a Grab and Go breakfast that fueled the day\u2019s activities for all attendees.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

With the state legislative session in full-swing, Children\u2019s Week also serves as a timely reminder to elected leaders in Tallahassee of the importance of supporting policy solutions that support our next generation. The \u201cCelebration of the Hands\u201d in the Capitol Rotunda, a collection of artwork from kids across the state, is a colorful visual reminder to legislators and advocates alike to stand up for our youngest constituents.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
