No Kid Hungry Georgia<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Promotes School Meal Programs during the pandemic and support<\/span><\/span>s<\/span><\/span> districts efforts to reach all students<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

Washington<\/span><\/span>,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>DC<\/span><\/span><\/strong>: As part of No Kid\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Hungry\u2019s<\/span><\/span> continuing effort to ensure all children in Georgia<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>remain nourished and healthy, the campaign announced today an additional<\/span><\/span>$<\/span><\/span>774,170 in<\/span><\/span>\u00a0grants to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>21<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>school districts to support school meal programs this semester.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSchool meals are available to students across\u00a0<\/span>Georgia<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>no matter if they are learning remotely or participating in a hybrid model,\u201d says Eleni Towns, associate director for the No Kid Hungry campaign. \u201cWe at No Kid Hungry are in awe of the phenomenal work of school nutrition staff. They have been at the front lines of this pandemic, working creatively and diligently to reach all of their students by offering curbside pickup meals, delivering meals to bus stops or community centers, collaborating with community groups to offer additional family food boxes, and more.\u201d <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
