They understand that ensuring kids have three meals a day is essential for their development. For this reason, principals have always been a critical part of ending childhood hunger in America.<\/p><p>Today, principals face an extraordinary set of challenges with staff shortages, burnout, and the task of keeping staff and kids safe in school as the pandemic continues.\u00a0<\/p><p>This Principal Appreciation Month, we&#8217;re thanking school leaders who, in the face of these immense obstacles, continue to work hand in hand with food service staff to ensure students have the nutrition they need.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8be3d32 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"8be3d32\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Ray Liskey, Principal of Harding Elementary<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9a2ba3b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9a2ba3b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: left\">Principal Ray Liskey, considers Food Service to be part of what makes a successful school. He has made it his personal mission to raise awareness around summer meals at Harding Elementary. As a marketing champion, he promotes their meal program through Twitter and social media. Mr. Liskey involves the Food Nutrition Staff in back to School Night and other school events.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-802b9b2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-testimonial\" data-id=\"802b9b2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"testimonial.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-testimonial-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-testimonial-content\">\"Ray builds relationships with all his building staff and that includes the kitchen employees.
