This fall, most schools are going back to pre-pandemic operations.<\/p><p><b>This means that many Indiana families must submit an application form to their school to determine if their kids are eligible for free or reduced-price meals. <\/b><b>School meals are a healthy, convenient option for busy families and they can also go a long way in helping make ends meet. To learn more about what this means, read our blog <span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600\" href=\"https:\/\/state.nokidhungry.org\/indiana\/2022\/08\/23\/back-to-school-why-is-this-year-different\/\">here<\/a><\/span>.<\/b><\/p><h3><span style=\"color: #ff6600\">How Can Districts Participate?<\/span><\/h3><p>Our contest is aimed at districts that would like to encourage families to submit their school meal applications. To do so, No Kid Hungry will give each participating school district a <strong>$100 gas card<\/strong> to raffle off to a family who submits their application by October 14.<\/p><h3><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><b>No Kid Hungry will provide participating districts with promotional materials (flyers, social media graphics, etc.) to assist districts in promoting the contest to interested families.<\/b><\/span><\/h3><p><strong>Participating school districts are responsible for the following:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Promoting the contest<\/li><li>Tracking application submissions during the contest timeline<\/li><li>Selecting the raffle winner and distributing the $100 gas card<\/li><li>Letting us know how it went!<\/li><\/ul><h3><strong>Important Info:<\/strong><\/h3><ul><li>Each individual school district is responsible for using their discretion in rolling out the contest to best meet their needs and those of their families.<\/li><li>No confidential information will be shared with No Kid Hungry or any external parties as part of this contest.<\/li><li>Districts participating in the <strong>Community Eligibility Provision<\/strong> districtwide are not eligible to participate in this contest.
