If it sounds simple, that\u2019s because it is.<\/p><p>That doesn\u2019t mean ending childhood hunger is easy. We know what works, and we\u2019ve made extraordinary progress for kids and families.<\/p><p>But the job isn\u2019t done and won\u2019t be done until we\u2019ve met that promise and every single child in America has the food they need to grow up healthy and strong.<\/p><h2>THE PROBLEM: KIDS IN INDIANA ARE HUNGRY<\/h2><p>There is no possible excuse for children to go hungry in this country. Yet it happens \u2013 every day, in every community.<\/p><p>More than 19% of children in Indiana live in \u201cfood insecure\u201d homes. That phrase may sound mild, but it means that those households don\u2019t have enough food for every family member to lead a healthy life.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nokidhungry.org\/who-we-are\/hunger-facts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Learn more Hunger Facts from No Kid Hungry<\/a><\/p><h2>WE HAVE THE SOLUTION<\/h2><p>We have plenty of food in the United States. And we have child hunger relief programs that work. The problem is that not enough kids can access them. That\u2019s a problem we know how to solve.<\/p><p>Together with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/state.nokidhungry.org\/indiana\/school-breakfast-task-force\/\">our partners<\/a>, No Kid Hungry Indiana works to ensure all children have access to the nutrition they need to grow and thrive. Our work focuses on ensuring more Hoosier students have the nutritious meals they need to thrive in Indiana.<\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nokidhungry.org\/what-we-do\/school-breakfast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">School Breakfast<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nokidhungry.org\/what-we-do\/summer-meals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Summer Meals<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nokidhungry.org\/what-we-do\/afterschool-meals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Afterschool Meals<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nokidhungry.org\/what-we-do\/family-nutrition-education-programs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Food Skills Education<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nokidhungry.org\/what-we-do\/research-policy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Research &amp; Policy<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nokidhungry.org\/what-we-do\/child-hunger-advocacy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Advocacy<\/a><\/li><\/ul><h2>Share Our Strength<\/h2><p><a href=\"https:\/\/nokidhungry.org\/\">No Kid Hungry<\/a>\u00a0is a national campaign run by Share Our Strength, a nonprofit working to solve problems of hunger and poverty in the United States and around the world.
