As January draws to a close, we’ve witnessed both extraordinary weather and extraordinary achievements across Louisiana’s schools. The joy of Louisiana students experiencing snow – many for the first time – reminds us that every day brings opportunities for wonder and new experiences. We see the impact of your dedication everywhere we look. At Jefferson Parish Schools, young Micaela achieved an impressive second place finish in youth chess, while third graders at Bissonet Plaza delved into Louisiana culture through literature and cooking, making their own gumbo. Over at DeSoto Parish, students demonstrated remarkable commitment by attending weekend ACT Boot Camp, preparing for their futures while fueled by the meals you provide everyday.
