Request for Proposal for the FY22 National School Lunch Program\u00a0<\/i><\/b>Equipment Assistance Grant for School Food Authorities<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
The New York State Education Department (NYSED) Child Nutrition Program Office has issued a Request for Proposal for the <\/span>FY22 National School Lunch Program Equipment Assistance Grant for School Food Authorities<\/b>. <\/span>The<\/span> School Food Service Equipment Grant <\/b>is intended to improve the infrastructure of the <\/span>National School Lunch Program<\/b>. This will be achieved by providing the opportunity for schools to purchase equipment to serve healthier meals, improve the overall quality of meals, improve food safety, expand participation in school meals programs, and help to support the establishment, maintenance, or expansion of the School Breakfast Program. Applications must be submitted by <\/span>5 p.m. on March 31, 2023<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n 2023-24 New York Farm to School Institute Application<\/i><\/b>\u00a0\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n Applications for the 2023-2023 cohort of the <\/span>New York Farm to School Institute<\/b> are open. The <\/span>New York Farm to School Institute<\/b> is a year-long professional development opportunity for food service staff, educators, administrators, and community partners in New York schools to develop and refine their <\/span>Farm to School <\/b>programs, and to help bring more New York grown food into the cafeteria and classroom. This ongoing training and educational program will assist participating schools in creating successful F<\/span>arm to School programs<\/b> and connecting with farmers. Upon completion of the Institute, schools become alumni members of a<\/span> NY Farm to School Institute Network<\/b> \u2013 continuing to share best practices and resources with others championing farm to school for years to come.
