This $13 million of State funding will unlock another $200 million from the federal government that will provide families with critical grocery funds during the summer months, helping cover the cost of the meals their kids count on during the school year.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Summer has traditionally been the hungriest time of year, but thanks to Governor Hochul, the NYS Assembly and NYS Senate, this year will be different for approximately 2 million children across the state. Working alongside traditional summer meal programs, rural non-congregate summer meals and SNAP, Summer EBT provides a comprehensive solution to the long-standing challenge of summer hunger.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>About No Kid Hungry<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No child should go hungry in America.
