To ensure we are supporting individuals and communities most impacted by these inequities, No Kid Hungry will prioritize funding organizations impacting the following communities:<\/p><ul><li>Communities where 50% or more of the population identifies as Black, Latino, Indigenous Peoples, Asian, Hawaiian Native or Pacific Islander<\/li><li>Rural and urban communities where schools\/school districts face unique challenges in addressing hunger<\/li><li>Communities experiencing extreme economic hardship, determined through multiple data points\u00a0<\/li><li>Communities where members experience intersecting social and environmental inequities<\/li><\/ul><p>Please visit the No Kid Hungry website to learn more about\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nokidhungry.org\/no-kid-hungry-grants-our-beliefs-and-values\">No Kid Hungry\u2019s grantmaking beliefs and values<\/a>, as well as how\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nokidhungry.org\/no-kid-hungry-grants-how-we-prioritize-grant-funds\">No Kid Hungry prioritizes grant funds<\/a>.<\/p><p>Strong consideration will be given to community organizations and government entities providing non-congregate meals in rural communities. Funds will be prioritized to support organizations with a strong and sustainable plan for maximizing participation in the child nutrition programs and federal nutrition program enrollment.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-toggle-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-2102\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-2102\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon elementor-toggle-icon-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-closed\"><i class=\"fas fa-caret-square-down\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-opened\"><i class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-opened fas fa-caret-up\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-toggle-title\" tabindex=\"0\">Use of Funds <\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-2102\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-2102\"><p>Funds are intended to support school districts in having the adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and families. Strategies may include:<\/p><ul><li>Ensuring maximum student participation and improving meal quality in the Summer Food<br \/>Service Program (SFSP) through non-congregate meals<\/li><li>Promoting awareness of non-congregate meal availability to students and families, especially<br \/>for free and reduced-price eligible students.<\/li><li>Supporting partnerships with school districts and\/or other local community-based<br \/>organizations (nonprofit organizations, farmers\/food producers, local governments, etc.) to<br \/>implement and increase access to non-congregate meal programs.<\/li><li>Promoting and supporting enrollment of SNAP, WIC and Pandemic-EBT programs as well as the<br \/>Child Tax Credit.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><p>Budget requests may include:<\/p><ul><li>Meal service supplies and equipment.<\/li><li>Costs of hiring additional staff positions, increasing hours for existing staff, and providing<br \/>incentives for staff retention, recruitment, and training.<\/li><li>Technology requests, including point-of-service machines.<\/li><li>Cleaning supplies\/equipment, including hand washing stations and PPE.<\/li><li>Program outreach, benefit enrollment assistance (SNAP, WIC, etc.), and marketing costs.<\/li><li>Transportation costs associated with meal delivery such as refrigerated trucks or fuel.<\/li><li>Additional expenses as needed.<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-toggle-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-2103\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-2103\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon elementor-toggle-icon-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-closed\"><i class=\"fas fa-caret-square-down\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-opened\"><i class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-opened fas fa-caret-up\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-toggle-title\" tabindex=\"0\">Application Requirements <\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-2103\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-2103\"><p>Applicants will be required to provide the following information:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><ul><li><div class=\"RichText3-paragraph--withVSpacingNormal RichText3-paragraph Typography Typography--m\"><strong>Reporting and authorized signature contact information.<\/strong><\/div><\/li><li><div class=\"RichText3-paragraph--withVSpacingNormal RichText3-paragraph Typography Typography--m\"><strong>Demographic information such as estimated free and reduced eligibility and service locale.<\/strong><\/div><\/li><li><div class=\"RichText3-paragraph--withVSpacingNormal RichText3-paragraph Typography Typography--m\"><strong>Information about your current and planned food and nutrition programs during the grant year.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/div><\/li><li><div class=\"RichText3-paragraph--withVSpacingNormal RichText3-paragraph Typography Typography--m\"><strong>Detailed description of grant funding program objectives.<\/strong><\/div><\/li><li><div class=\"RichText3-paragraph--withVSpacingNormal RichText3-paragraph Typography Typography--m\"><strong>Detailed budget of anticipated use of funding.<\/strong><\/div><\/li><li><div class=\"RichText3-paragraph--withVSpacingNormal RichText3-paragraph Typography Typography--m\"><strong>Demographic makeup of your organization\u2019s leadership, board, staff, and volunteers<\/strong><\/div><\/li><\/ul><div><p><span style=\"font-weight: bolder\"><u>Please Note:<\/u><\/span><\/p><p>Grants may be funded through corporate partners working with Share Our Strength. You will be notified upon receipt of the grant award if a corporate partner is sponsoring the grant award. Additionally, we understand that programming may vary and change throughout the grant year.
