None of our work would be possible without the dedicated hunger heroes on the front lines of the fight to end childhood hunger. From school nutrition staff to community volunteers, these are the boots on the ground, they are the people showing up every day to make sure kids have the meals they need to thrive.
\nThrough this campaign, we recognize and celebrate their unwavering commitment to ensuring kids are fed. Because not all heroes wear capes. Joe leads Sabinal ISD\u2019s home-delivered meal box program, ensuring kids get the nutrition they need right at their doorstep. Rain or shine, Joe shows up with a smile and a deep understanding of how vital these meals are. His dedication has even inspired his 11-year-old son JoJo to join in and together they deliver 30-lb boxes to 246 kids twice a week. They are an inspiring father-son team & a true example of what it means to be a Summer Hunger Hero.<\/p>\n
