Davis earned the award for creating a free summer meals distribution schedule that covers the entirety of students\u2019 summer vacation, bridging the nutritional gap until the new school year starts in August.<\/p>\n
“She exemplifies the work of No Kid Hungry. She is out and about in the community doing what we work and advocate for. But she takes it to the next level. \u00a0She goes above and beyond and it\u2019s the kids that benefit. \u00a0It\u2019s always about the kids.”<\/em>[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line”][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]\n Fleming earned the award for stepping in when several partner sites hit unexpected operational hurdles mid-summer, coordinating across departments to troubleshoot issues and keep meals reaching kids without interruption during the months when school meals are hardest for families to access.<\/p>\n “Brianna consistently reminds our team that every meal represents a child who may otherwise go hungry.
