When families are brought in at every stage of program design and delivery \u2013 instead of a \u201ctop-down\u201d approach that excludes community involvement \u2013 families are better able to access and are more excited about the meals served, and consequently, a greater number of children receive healthy and nutritious food.<\/p>\n
