No Kid Hungry relies on key partners to enact positive change in Georgia.
No Kid Hungry Georgia is a public-private coalition working to ensure no kid will grow up hungry. Together we are ending childhood hunger in Georgia by ensuring every child has healthy food every day.
Our Partners
Georgia Department of Education: School Nutrition is a valuable partner in education, pledging to provide coordinated support for outstanding student achievement through our commitment to excellent service in each of these core areas: Quality Meals, Student and Community Engagement, and Professional Development.
Atlanta Community Food Bank: The Food Bank utilizes more than 1,700 volunteers a month, over 150 staff members, a large fleet of trucks, and a 129,000 square-foot facility to procure and distribute food and grocery items received from hundreds of donors. Donors include manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, brokers, restaurants, food drives, gardens, and individuals. Partner agencies quickly access the product. They place their orders online and arrange for pick up or delivery. Once the food arrives at the agency, it is provided to families and individuals in need.
More than 70 school districts and community organizations across the state, and counting.
No Kid Hungry Georgia has provided more than 70 grants in the last year to support Georgia schools to expand the reach of their meal programs. Schools have used the funding to purchase new equipment, technology, supplies, or craft promotional materials. If you are interested in securing funding for your community, reach out to etowns@strength.org.
