No Kid Hungry Nebraska is a public-private coalition working so no kid in Nebraska goes hungry. By working with partners across the state, we are dedicated to ensuring every Nebraska student has access to healthy meals.

Partners

Nebraska Appleseed

Nebraska Appleseed is a nonprofit organization that fights for justice and opportunity for all Nebraskans. Nebraska Appleseed takes a systemic approach to complex issues – such as child welfare, immigration policy, affordable health care, and poverty – and takes their work wherever they believe they can do the most good, whether that’s in the courthouse, at the Capitol, or in the community.

Student Nutrition Action Committee (SNAC)

What is the Student Nutrition Action Committee (SNAC)?

SNAC focuses on expanding access to child nutrition programs so every child has the food they need to reach their full potential. Our coalition is led by Nebraska Appleseed, the Nebraska Department of Education, and No Kid Hungry.

Mission and Vision

We strive to connect kids to meals across Nebraska by educating and engaging key stakeholders and identifying, developing and sharing resources, training and best practices. Nebraska SNAC aims to ensure every child in Nebraska has access to the food they need to learn and grow.

Nebraska SNAC’s Impact

The Nebraska SNAC accomplished a lot during the 24-25 school year! Check out our blog to learn more and reach out to get involved.
