NO KID HUNGRY RELIES ON KEY PARTNERS TO ENACT POSITIVE CHANGE IN SOUTH CAROLINA

No Kid Hungry South Carolina is a public-private coalition working so no kid in South Carolina goes hungry. By working with partners across the state, we are dedicated to ensuring every South Carolina student has access to healthy meals. Together we are ending childhood hunger in South Carolina by ensuring every child has healthy food every day.

Arnold School of Public Health University of South Carolina

University of South Carolina: As an official No Kid Hungry South Carolina partner, the SNAP-Ed department at the University of South Carolina engages public officials, sponsors, and community members by offering guidance, training, and technical assistance to improve access to summer meals. A major focus of their work involves supporting the development and growth of Local Food Policy Councils across the state. These councils – currently active in Greenwood, York, Oconee, Greenville, Lexington, Columbia, Spartanburg, Marion, Fairfield, Lee, Williamsburg, Orangeburg, Bamberg, and Calhoun – bring together local stakeholders to conduct community assessments, provide technical assistance, and identify policy, systems, and environmental change strategies that make healthy eating and meals more accessible.
