On Wednesday, June 23, No Kid Hungry will host a digital day of action to end summer hunger.
Summer is usually the hungriest time of year. This summer, however, new game-changing policies are in place that is helping even more kids than ever get the food they need. But these policies are only temporary. Once they expire, we’ll go back to the outdated system of years past. It doesn’t have to be this way. Congress must act now to permanently update and modernize the summer meals programs.
Starting on June 28, Congress will begin working from their district offices for the July 4th recess, making it the perfect time for their constituents (that’s you!) to get in touch about an issue we know you care about – ending childhood hunger.
