Advocacy & Legislation

At No Kid Hungry Maryland, we believe that state and local governments have an important role to play in ending childhood hunger. We engage with our partners in state and local government to work alongside them to improve outcomes for children and families through improved policies, innovative solutions and efficient and effective programs.

As leaders in Maryland consider ways to ensure that no child is hungry, we focus with them on expanding access to the federal nutrition programs including:

  • Breakfast After the Bell
  • SUN Bucks (SEBT)
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

No Kid Hungry Maryland, brings data, best practices, and consumer voices into conversations with State Legislators, the Governor and others involved with policy we care about. Together we can continue to make a difference. Here are some ways we do that:

Breakfast After the Bell:

SUN Bucks (Summer EBT):

Summer SNAP
