When schools close for the summer, thousands of Virginia children can lose access to the nutritious meals they depend on during the school year. No Kid Hungry Virginia helps bridge this gap by supporting programs that equip families with additional resources to keep children fed when school is out.
Thanks to our incredible partners across Virginia, summer meals are more accessible, flexible, and responsive to the needs of families. Because Virginia is committed to advancing innovative strategies to address childhood hunger, more kids than ever before can access the food they need during the summer months.
We work hard to celebrate these summer programs reflected in the media— helping raise awareness and drive action around summer hunger.
