March 7-11 is National School Breakfast Week, a chance to celebrate the dedicated school nutrition staff all across the Commonwealth who connect our students with their morning meals.

Virginia excels at school breakfast. Over 1,000 schools throughout the Commonwealth offer Breakfast After the Bell, making nutrition part of the school day by serving breakfast in the classroom or in between class periods. Since 2012, the number of students accessing a daily breakfast at school has grown by over 75,000. But- we still have more to do.

This year’s National School Breakfast Week theme is “Take off with School Breakfast.” Celebrate with these awesome resources curated by the School Nutrition Association. Resources include infographics, customizable press releases, social media content images and much more.

Join us as we celebrate National School Breakfast Week, highlighting the importance of school breakfast and the critical role school nutrition professionals play in helping children succeed in and out of the classroom.

From all of us at No Kid Hungry Virginia- HAPPY NATIONAL SCHOOL BREAKFAST WEEK!
