Hunger affects concentration, memory, mood, and motor skills, all of which a child needs to be able to be successful in school and beyond. School principals are crucial partners in our mission. Every October during National Principal Appreciation Month, we celebrate school leaders for their visionary leadership to feed kids. In the face of immense obstacles, with innovative school meal programs, they are leading they way in our fight against childhood hunger.
