Are you looking for a way to engage children or families in nutrition education? Do you have an interest in participating in movement moments with the children you serve? Parkview Health’s Youth Well-Being Team is available to serve our youth educators and families.

Parkview’s team of experts is passionate about positively impacting the overall well-being of children and their families. To do so, they created free, virtual resources to further engage children and families in various topics related to health and well-being. Whether it be providing a complete curriculum, full or partial lessons, supplemental learning material, or host live versus recorded learnings, and their team is ready to accommodate all educators and families to serve our youth best. We have videos covering everything from nutrition to stress to gardening, and there will be more to come!

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all in a significant way, creating barriers to opportunities we all once enjoyed, such as field trips and guest speakers. Shifting from the normal routines has provided the Youth Well-Being Team with the opportunity to be creative and explore new learning options for our community partners safely and in an effective manner. Their team is excited to share these video resources with you to utilize however you see fit. Examples from their current partners include 1) Using a video to begin a conversation and then have one of their team members join for Q&A and 2) Learning about new topics with a virtual guest speaker that link with state standards and foundations. Whether you are a school, after-school program, early childhood site, or affiliated with children and families differently, these well-being resources are available to you to use. Through the utilization of our resources, Parkview has seen outcomes that include increases in nutrition and agriculture knowledge, willingness to try new fruits and vegetables, increased awareness of emotions, and increased movement throughout the day.
