You can generate ideas on how you can engage with students to increase program effectiveness and participation.
Providing nutritious meals to your students is important, especially with this new normal, but how can you reach all students? “Knowing Your Community” is important to provide program access to every student. In the first session, we featured how to identify and connect with all the families in your community. Our group of panelists, Graham Melendez (Community Impact Coordinator from Immigrant Welcome Center), Lisa Adams (Community Wellness Coordinator from Purdue Extension Marion County), and Sarah Willson (Nutrition Manager from Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana), share how to identify and connect with all families in your community and walk through how to be part of the solution.
In the second session, our panelist: Graham Melendez (Community Impact Coordinator from Immigrant Welcome Center), Stephanie Uliana (Community Benefit Manager from Ascension), Ashley Heller (Child Nutrition Specialist from Indiana Department of Education), and Maggie Schabel (Child Nutrition Specialist from Indiana Department of Education) discussed how to partner with stakeholders to increase your school nutrition program’s reach.
