Please consider joining us and/or spreading the word to your partners and networks!

Join us as we highlight innovative and effective strategies sponsors are employing to meet the demand for summer meals. Explore practical menu solutions, such as incorporating shelf-stable foods, DoD fresh produce, and other resourceful approaches, to ensure consistent access to nutritious meals for children. Learn actionable insights and best practices to implement a variety of meal service methods, including bulk meal distribution and home delivery. This session was offered at our Summer Nutrition Summit in January, and we’re excited to offer it again as part of our webinar series to reach those of you who weren’t able to join us there in person!

Join this practical webinar to strengthen your understanding of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) and how to maximize its impact. We’ll cover CEP basics, highlight benefits for school nutrition programs, students, families, and educators, and share key considerations for the year ahead. Learn strategies to increase your Identified Student Percentage (ISP) through direct certification, walk through a CEP calculator tutorial, and get your questions answered during a live Q&A.

Join No Kid Hungry and Harvard researcher Juliana Cohen for a short, practical webinar highlighting the latest school breakfast research and what it means for district programs. Learn how recent findings can support participation, inform menu and service decisions, and strengthen conversations with administrators. You’ll hear key research findings on school breakfast participation, what the research suggests for district-level strategies, and highlights from a new research summary you can share locally.

This session will help equip community-based organizations, program sponsors, and state agencies with effective strategies to advance rural non-congregate (RNC) summer meal programs. Hear from a summer meals sponsor and state agency SFSP director as they examine approaches for engaging and building support among stakeholders, and strategies for showcasing successful models to build a broader understanding of RNC’s benefits. We will also learn about the Mayor’s Alliance to End Hunger and how engaging your local elected officials can strengthen advocacy efforts and foster collaboration to expand access for rural children and families.

Description TBD.

This session is designed to equip summer meal sponsors with the high-impact promotion strategies needed to ensure every child knows where to find meals this summer. We will provide a comprehensive review of the Summer Meals Outreach Toolkit, guiding you through its most effective resources and templates. A seasoned summer meal sponsor will share their real-world best practices, offering actionable insights for community partnerships and effective word-of-mouth promotion. Finally, we will provide a focused introduction to social media best practices, helping you craft compelling content and leverage digital platforms to reach more families in your community.

Families consistently rate home delivery as a top preference for summer meals, but meeting this demand is challenging given logistical complexities and other obstacles. That’s why No Kid Hungry’s Program Innovation team set out to pilot new delivery models and learn about models that work.  In this webinar, you will learn about these pilots alongside other home delivery models used across the country. Some of our speakers presented at the Summer Nutrition Summit in January, and we’re excited to offer their presentations again as part of our webinar series to reach those of you who weren’t able to join us there in person!
