Starting in January 2021, Klondike Middle School has sent 21 students meals weekly, and numbers are growing. This program came from identifying community needs and the desire to help students. Anne worked with Food Finders and a school counselor to provide food in the back program that better serves our Hispanic families. They are sending home things like rice, beans, and things that are commonly used for cooking. We have students pack the bags, so they participate in service learning as well. Pictured here are some of the student leaders: Joowon Jeong (6th), Gladys Avila (6), and Maria Tavasci-Gaytan (8th).
