Thanks to the opportunity from this grant, we were able to buy carton boxes for take-home meals and plastic and wrapping materials and pay for fueling the refrigeration trucks. The community recognized our efforts as we never stop serving the community. One of our favorite stories is when one of our associates took the initiative to deliver meals to our families.

Grandma walked about two miles with five of her grandkids to the school location to pick up their meals for the week while it was still cold outside. All the kids brought their backpacks to put the food in their backpacks. One of our associates took the initiative and started delivering the boxes to their home until the end of the summer feedings. It was very moving to know that one act of kindness can turn into multiple acts of kindness.
