LOS ANGELES, March 18, 2025 – On Monday, March 17th, No Kid Hungry, a national campaign to end childhood hunger in America, and its supporters gathered for the Los Angeles No Kid Hungry Dinner, an evening focused on “Restoring Hope: Feeding Kids in the Wake of the LA Wildfires.” As part of the evening’s festivities hosted at The Wallis in Beverly Hills, Academy Award-Winning Actor and No Kid Hungry National Spokesperson Jeff Bridges and Chef, Restaurateur and Cookbook Author Brooke Williamson were honored for their outstanding commitment and contributions to help advance No Kid Hungry’s mission. Award-Winning Singer-Songwriter and No Kid Hungry Champion P!NK was also in attendance and presented Jeff Bridges with his award. Other notable attendees included Beau Bridges, Christopher Knight and Food Networks’s Chef Bobby Flay, Chef Claudette Zepeda and Chef Jet Tila with wife Ali TIla.
As Los Angeles rebuilds from devastation caused by the wildfires, the urgency to ensure no child goes hungry is especially critical. The evening’s program recognized local school, community, and culinary partners who are working tirelessly to provide immediate and sustained food assistance to kids and families as Los Angeles recovers. With 1 in 5 kids in the U.S. living with hunger, the Los Angeles No Kid Hungry Dinner raises critical funds and awareness to connect kids with the food they need to grow up happy, healthy and strong.
“As an actor I’ve played many roles but one I’m most proud of is being the National Spokesperson for the No Kid Hungry campaign. California is my home and the wildfires have left a trail of destruction for many, making the work of the No Kid Hungry campaign especially critical to ensure no child misses a meal. I’m honored to have been a part of this special evening filled with hope and unity to create a meaningful impact for kids and families across Los Angeles,” said Jeff Bridges, award-winning actor and No Kid Hungry National Spokesperson.
“Supporting efforts to feed kids has really just been second nature for me—both as a chef and as a mom myself. My work with No Kid Hungry is close to my heart and a cause I will always proudly champion. Their mission is as simple as it is urgent: no child in the U.S. should ever go hungry; and this really is something we can fix. On Monday night the incredible team at No Kid Hungry honored me—but the real privilege isn’t the recognition; it’s the opportunity to roll up our sleeves and make sure every child gets the nourishment they need to learn, grow, and continue to thrive,” shares Brooke Williamson, chef, restaurateur and cookbook author.
“No Kid Hungry is a cause so close to my heart, especially as a mom. Every child deserves access to the meals they need to thrive. As a former award-recipient, it was an honor to present the No Kid Hungry Humanitarian Award to my pal Jeff Bridges who has been shining a much-needed spotlight to the issue of childhood hunger for decades, and to see Chef Brooke Williamson recognized for her incredible years of supporting this work,” said P!NK, award-winning singer-songwriter and No Kid Hungry Champion.
In addition to a live auction to support No Kid Hungry, guests enjoyed an uplifting musical performance by Greg Leisz and Sara Watkins. Guests also enjoyed a one-of-a-kind dining experience and beverage pairings curated by Chef, TV Personality and Cookbook Author Antonia Lofaso as Chef Chair. Restaurant Consultant, Wine Connoisseur and Writer David Rosoff served as the evening’s Beverage Chair. Both were joined by renowned culinary talent from across California, including: Nyesha Arrington of Native; Josiah Citrin of Citrin and Mélisse; Mei Lin of Daybird; Nancy Silverton of Chi Spacca; Daniele Uditi; Michael Voltaggio; and Sherry Yard of Bakery by the Yard.
The Los Angeles No Kid Hungry Dinner is supported by National Presenting Sponsor Citi and supported by Target, Breakthru Beverage and MacRostie Winery & Vineyards. Table sponsors included P!NK, Hope Warschaw, Jeanne Newman, Kia, Warner Bros. Discovery, Claudia Kahn, Mark Sandelson, Barbara Lazaroff, Bill Isacoff, and the Rubin Family.
